Machine Learning Resident
Mengqi Fang is a Machine Learning Resident with the Advanced Tech team at Amii. She joins the Advanced Tech team with more than five years of machine learning modelling experience in the oil & gas and manufacturing industries.
Mengqi received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. Her research was focused on probabilistic graphical models, Bayesian theory and relevant extensions to real-time industrial process monitoring. After completing her PhD research, she also engaged in the Data Analytics and Intelligent Systems Lab at UBC as a Postdoc Fellow, dedicated to employing deep learning and machine learning techniques in pulping process evaluation.
Mengqi’s current focus at Amii is to explore computer vision and deep learning applications to solve gas emission detection problems.
Mengqi has a passion for exploring machine learning in real-world applications and seeks to push boundaries in this field.
