Neeraj Kumar, Ph.D. is a Machine Learning Educator with the Training team at Amii. He serves as subject matter expert on applied AI and ML, identifies the knowledge gaps between the academic and industrial AI/ML practices, and creates resources to upskill the workforce and business leaders to adopt AI/ML in their business processes.
Neeraj has an extensive academic background. Prior to joining Amii, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Computing Science department at the University of Alberta, a Research Associate with Case Western Reserve University, and a Research Scientist in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois. His research interests include AI for digital healthcare and personalized medicine, computational pathology, medical image and signal processing.
Neeraj earned his Ph.D. in Statistical Machine Learning from the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India. He also earned his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Punjab, India. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and reading.
