March 2022 AI Meetup: AI & Reducing Environmental Impact

Amii’s Virtual AI Meetup is a monthly event where AI researchers, professionals and enthusiasts gather to learn and chat about AI-related topics.

The March 22, 2022 edition of the Meetup was all about how AI is being used to reduce our environmental impact.

Hosted by Amii's David Chan (Product Owner - Industry), the event featured Blindman Brewing co-founder Kirk Zembal on how the brewery uses AI to capture and recycle carbon dioxide, as well as Amii & RLAI Lab graduate student Rohan Nuttall on the role machine learning can play in mitigating climate change impacts and improving institutional decision-making.
