The AI Seminar is a weekly meeting at the University of Alberta where researchers interested in artificial intelligence (AI) can share their research. Presenters include both local speakers from the University of Alberta and visitors from other institutions. Topics can be related in any way to artificial intelligence, from foundational theoretical work to innovative applications of AI techniques to new fields and problems.
On May 28, Bruce Matichuk (Co-Founder and CTO of Health Gauge) presented "GPT-3 & Health Coach”.
Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3 (GPT-3) is a deep learning model that has become a popular tool for language processing. Bruce’s talk reviews GPT-3 and demonstrates some of its core capabilities and applications, as well as how Edmonton-based health information company Health Gauge is using GPT-3 to develop a platform called Health Coach.
