About Jillian
Jillian Kowalchuk is the Manager of AI Literacy with the Training team at Amii. Jillian previously worked as a junior high and high school humanities teacher before transitioning out of the classroom. She has also worked as an educational consultant and educational researcher. Jillian earned a Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta, as well as a graduate diploma in Interdisciplinary Education from the University of Calgary. She also holds a Master of Education from the University of Toronto in Social Justice Education, specializing in Critical Digital Literacy. Jillian is currently working on her PhD in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of Alberta in the Department of Secondary Education, where her research focuses on teachers’ moral agency in the age of Generative AI.
