The energy sector is undergoing an unprecedented transformation, and artificial intelligence will be at the centre of the future of energy.

To prepare for this monumental shift, Amii is proud to launch AI Pathways: Energizing Canada’s Low-Carbon Workforce funded in part by the Government of Canada's Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program.

This program shows how Canada is stepping up to ensure its workforce is future-ready with an initiative that aims to transition the country’s energy workers into the world’s most AI-literate workforce.

Canada’s AI future is powered by Canadians. Thanks to organizations like the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, we are building an AI-literate workforce that will drive innovation, create sustainable jobs, and strengthen our economy.

Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation

Through the Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program, the Government of Canada is investing over $9 million over three years in the AI Pathways: Energizing Canada’s Low-Carbon project. Led by Amii, this initiative will train 4,965 Canadian energy workers with the AI skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an evolving energy sector.

“The future of energy is undeniably intelligent. As leaders in AI training and with the vital support from the Government of Canada, Amii is set to deliver practical, accessible AI and machine learning skills that will provide Canadian energy workers with the competitive edge they need to drive innovation and lead in the dynamic energy landscape,”  said Amii CEO Cam Linke.
