AI is changing how we study the mind. It's also changing the mind itself.

At this Tech Thursday, explore where AI and the human mind meet: what brain research and language models can teach us about each other, how AI is already showing up in psychology and mental health, and the ethical questions that come with it.

Alona Fyshe will be among the featured speakers. Alona is an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta and a Fellow-in-Residence in Science Communication at Amii, where she contributes to public and technical understanding of AI through initiatives including the Approximately Correct podcast and science communication articles.

She’ll be joined by Geoffrey Rockwell, Professor of Philosophy and Humanities Computing at the University of Alberta.

The discussion will be moderated by Kirsten Sokolovski, host of Tech Thursday.

Join us for a thought-provoking conversation about how AI is reshaping our understanding of the human mind and what that means for research, mental health, and society.
