Do you want a solid foundation in machine learning? Sit in on an online course being offered this fall by Canada CIFAR AI Chair, Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta and Amii Fellow Lili Mou!
The free-to-audit course entitled “Machine Learning” is being delivered online from September 1 to December 7, 2020. Join in synchronous classes every Tuesday and Thursday, or catch up via recorded video at your leisure.
Machine learning teaches a machine to learn from previous experience and makes a prediction for (possibly new) data. This course covers standard materials of a “Machine Learning” course, such as linear regression, linear classification, as well as non-linear models.

Google.org announces new research grants to support critical AI research in Canada focused on areas such as sustainability and the responsible development of AI. The grant will provide a total of $2.7 million in grant funding to Amii, the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) and the International Center of Expertise of Montreal on AI (CEIMIA).
