As a Machine Learning Scientist on the Advanced Technology team, Abdul builds machine learning solutions for real-world challenges, with a focus on reinforcement learning.

Prior to joining the team, Abdul worked at Huawei Canada as an Associate Researcher, where he contributed to AI-powered personalized agents, learning-based image quality assessment, and multiple components of the smartphone camera Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipeline.

He completed his M.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Alberta under the supervision of Dr. Martha White, where his research focused on exploration in reinforcement learning.

Outside of work, Abdul enjoys traveling, skiing, video games, and a good cup of chai.
