Product Owner, Advanced Technology (Acting)

Amor Provins

As Product Owner of Startups and Acting Product Owner for Advanced Technology at Amii, Amor Provins leads high-impact programs that bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and industrial application. She oversees a diverse portfolio of complex initiatives, helping partners navigate the risks of adopting new technology while building their own internal capacity to innovate.

Amor’s leadership aligns strategic goals with a deep focus on people. She excels at building the high-trust networks that turn technical potential into successful outcomes. By centering human connection, she ensures every project delivers both a practical solution and a path for teams to grow.

In her prior role, with Amii's Startup team, Amor led Amii’s partnership model for investors and startup accelerators by actively creating, maintaining, and mapping out meaningful relationships locally, nationally, and internationally.

From an early career in social work to designing and co-creating places and spaces to bringing new ideas to life through design, manufacturing and social entrepreneurship, Amor believes in the power of partnership to help deliver extraordinary outcomes.
As a multi-talented entrepreneur, product designer and community connector, Amor has built networks of people and spearheaded fundraising initiatives. She co-founded Apricity, a collective of Edmonton-based community changemakers; launched one of Edmonton’s first creative industrial studios, Timbre; and steered the creation of Roundhouse, MacEwan University’s first social innovation hub.

Amor also co-chaired the Community Engagement and Legacy subcommittee with the 2023 JUNOs, activating Edmonton's design, arts & culture community and helping to create Edmonton's first Songwriter in Residence Program. Additionally, she is on the Board of Directors for Starlings Community, a non-profit organization that works to repair hurt, heal and build community care to transform the lives of children impacted by parental addiction. She comes to Amii from MacEwan University, where she held the role of Community Relations Manager.

In her free time, Amor loves spending time with friends and family, listening to live music (and will never miss a Folk Fest), running through the river valley, and transforming stories into custom jewelry pieces through Hunt Amor.
