Blair’s research applies a transfeminist lens to address challenges of power, participation, and justice in AI governance systems.

Blair’s work explores the intersection of gender, technology, and regulation through a trans feminist lens to address power and justice issues in AI governance. With a PhD and Master of Information from the University of Toronto, her research is published in top academic journals like Big Data & Society and AI and Ethics.

She's also a passionate educator and public scholar, mobilizing her research to inform everyone from students to public servants on AI policy and ethics. Her public scholarship has been featured in major outlets such as The Globe and Mail and CBC News.

Beyond academia, Blair is a sci-fi and glitch artist who creates experimental work, like her web game object.type(3), which was recently showcased at a conference hosted by McMaster University.
