Daniel holds both a BSc and an MSc in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, where his graduate research was supervised by Amii Fellow James Wright and focused on behavioral game theory. Prior to joining Amii, he worked in roles across the tech industry, from roles as a helpdesk IT technician and ERP consultant to working as a software developer and consultant for multiple startups.

Professionally, Daniel is driven by the challenge of taking machine learning research out of the lab and scaling it for real-world production, utilizing his expertise in DevOps/MLOps, software development, and data engineering.

Outside of work, he is an avid hockey player and fan who balances his time on the ice with culinary adventures. Whether he's trying new restaurants or experimenting in his home kitchen, he loves sharing good food with friends and family. Finally, when he isn't in the kitchen or hanging out with his two cats, he enjoys reading or playing video games
