Parnian is a research associate specializing in reinforcement learning (RL), an AI approach that mirrors natural learning and gives machines a more intuitive way to adapt. She is passionate about bridging the gap between academic research and industry applications of RL, with a focus on exploring the hidden opportunities that lie in that intersection. Currently completing her Master’s in Computing Science at the University of Alberta, her research explores programmatic representations in RL.

She loves problem solving and learning new skills, and is passionate about exploring new things — whether it’s diving into a new research topic, trying out a DIY project, or discovering new foods and hidden spots along the way.
