Srinjoy Bhuiya

Srinjoy Bhuiya is a Machine Learning Resident at Amii, where he collaborates with Altalis to develop intelligent systems for mapping and interpreting of GIS data across Alberta. He holds an MSc in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, where his academic research focused on river streamflow forecasting in snow dominated regions.

He possesses an extensive background in Computer Vision, Generative AI, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems, which he built through various research engagements at the Indian Statistical Institute, Toronto Metropolitan University, and at several Industry positions. Srinjoy is fundamentally motivated by the pursuit of trustworthy AI, dedicating his expertise to architecting robust machine learning solutions that meet the rigorous security and precision demands of critical real-world workflows.

Outside of work, he is an avid chess player and enjoys singing, as well as staying active through biking, hiking, and camping in the Canadian wilderness.
