The energy sector is undergoing a significant transformation, and artificial intelligence will play a central role in how we power our lives.
But this isn't just about technology. It's about people.
We want Canada’s energy workers to have the skills they need to thrive in this new future.
That’s why we are launching AI Pathways: Energizing Canada’s Low-Carbon Workforce. Led by Amii and supported by $9 million in funding from the Government of Canada's Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program, this initiative is designed to empower Canadian energy workers with the practical, hands-on AI and machine learning skills they need to thrive in this transformation.
This program is for engineers, technologists, project managers, and other Canadians working in the energy sector. It is designed with the flexibility to work around their already-busy schedules. We’re currently accepting applications, so sign up today.
We are very excited about the work we are doing with the energy industry. Of course, machine learning is having an impact on all sectors. AI will be at the core of Canada’s future economy. That’s what Canada’s first-ever Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation said when he visited Amii earlier this month.
Minister Evan Solomon and I sat down for a great conversation about Canada’s history of groundbreaking machine learning research and what we need to do to maintain our AI advantage in a changing world. It was a pleasure to talk with him about how we can build a strong domestic AI industry. You can check out our full fireside chat video here.
Want to learn more about how AI is changing our world? Become part of Upper Bound. Every year, we bring together AI experts, researchers, and industry leaders to share how AI is transforming the way we work and live.
Right now, Upper Bound ticket prices are the lowest they will be. But hurry - prices will go up at the end of September, so secure your spot now.
See you soon,
