Amii partnered with Edmonton-based Visionstate, a leader in data-driven facilities management to enhance real-time task management within Visionstate’s WANDA platform, initially focusing on advanced route optimization.
The focused optimization inquiry quickly expanded, unexpectedly leading to the development of two new commercial products for Visionstate. This tangible result is a clear measure of the direct business value Amii creates when translating research into successful, ready-to-use technology.

From Optimization to Commercial Expansion
Visionstate's flagship product, WANDA, is an intelligent platform used by facility managers to streamline cleaning operations. The initial goal of the Amii collaboration was to integrate advanced route optimization into WANDA, simplifying the complexities of daily scheduling and significantly boosting task management efficiency. This pursuit of advanced functionality was central to the partnership's success.
The resulting route optimizer showed remarkable ability to automatically generate optimized cleaning and maintenance schedules based on compliance rules, service levels, and known site layouts. The scalable framework was designed to assign complex facility tasks to a fixed workforce across various planning horizons (daily, annual, etc.). By formulating the challenge as a constrained optimization problem, the solution produces feasible schedules that balance efficiency and fairness. The advancements to the model added intelligent, automated functionality to the WANDA platform, and inspired two powerful new offerings.

We are so pleased with our partnership with Visionstate, and how the team was able to maximize the value of our collaboration with an enhanced product offering and two new standalone products ready for market. This is the work Amii is most proud of: supporting Canadian companies in their AI exploration and delivering a significant return on investment.

One Engagement, Two Market-Ready Products
Early in October, Visionstate began beta testing TidyLogic, the first new product developed from the Amii engagement. Used as a standalone product or integrated with the WANDA platform, TidyLogic is an AI platform developed to assist facility managers in complex resource planning, transforming outdated paper-based schedules into digital plans — reducing inefficiencies, improving consistency and laying the foundation for smarter, data-driven decision making.
Crucially, it significantly streamlines the Request for Proposal (RFP) process by replacing manual forecasting with highly accurate, rapid estimations of cleaning hours for large bids. This capability not only reduces the client burden but also allows Visionstate to expand its offering beyond hygiene compliance into broader facility management optimization.
The second product is a real-time resource management tool designed specifically for Canadian healthcare. Its estimation function acts as an advanced budget estimator, allowing hospital management to accurately forecast and justify the complex costs of cleaning and sanitation. By instantly replacing manual calculations, this tool provides data-informed insights that ensure resources are allocated precisely based on dynamic need, maximizing budgets for both financial stewardship and, critically, superior patient safety. This strategic clarity empowers managerial staff in hospitals and health facilities across Canada to shift focus from reactive cost control to proactive patient care and facility performance.
From a single project, we achieved enhancements to our core platform and unlocked two new revenue streams. That level of ROI is transformative for a company like ours. It positions Visionstate to expand far beyond hygiene compliance into full-scale facility optimization, setting the stage for long-term deep partnerships with our clients and translating into scalable growth.

Maximizing the Investment
As a small business, the leaders at Visionstate were thrilled at the return on investment from their work with Amii — the additional value added to the WANDA platform, and two new stand-alone products.
With the AI model now moving into the integration stage, TidyLogic in beta testing, and early customer partnerships already providing feedback, this single engagement with Amii has positioned Visionstate for scalable, long-term growth, transforming a focused inquiry into a platform for full-scale facility optimization.
