Empowering the Next Generation

The world is changing fast. With the acceleration of AI technology, today’s students will encounter unique challenges and opportunities. We’re here to help you navigate these big shifts together.

By learning to use AI responsibly, students can build the confidence and skills needed to thrive.

With guidance from the world-leading experts at Amii, we’ll help empower the next generation to shape the future.
Creating meaningful AI resources for students means starting with the real experts: educators
At Amii, many of the people developing our K-12 resources are former educators. We know firsthand what it takes to make things work in a busy classroom.
To build on that foundation, every single resource is co-designed by local, experienced educators and our world-leading machine learning experts. We collaborate directly with active educators to ensure that everything we produce is accurate, safe, age-appropriate, and highly engaging.
For educators in Alberta, our K-12 AI Learning Kits align directly with Alberta's Curriculum and Student Competencies, making it easy for educators to bring trusted AI concepts to the classroom.

Frequently asked questions
We know that seeing "AI" in your child’s school routine might spark a few questions. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you understand more about AI literacy.
What exactly is "AI Literacy," and why does my child need it?
Think of AI literacy just like financial literacy. It’s about helping kids understand and meaningfully collaborate or interact the technology they already interact with every day (like algorithms on video apps or smart assistants).
The resources we provide for teachers include lesson plans and activities that help students understand how AI works, how to use it safely and responsibly, and how to think critically about the information they see online.
How does this fit into what they are already learning?
Amii’s resources are designed to complement Alberta’s existing provincial curriculum.
Developed alongside educators, these resources help teachers explore connections between AI and subjects students are already learning, such as science, social studies, math, and language arts. Alberta’s curriculum sets out what students learn, while educators use their professional judgment to decide when and how resources like these can best support their classroom practice.
Is there any cost to our family for these kits?
None at all.
These programs are fully funded by Amii through our commitment to community education. There are no fees for schools, classrooms, or families.
