Sumaiya Amin

Sumaiya is a Machine Learning Educator at Amii, where she develops educational materials to promote AI literacy, with an emphasis on applications that support low-carbon initiatives and sustainability.

She holds a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology and an MSc in Computer Science from St. Francis Xavier University. Her graduate research involved applying genetic programming, an advanced artificial intelligence technique, to develop effective vaccination strategies for infectious diseases. She is passionate about research and deeply interested in how machine learning can be applied across different fields to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and create meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Sumaiya enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time in nature. She also loves baking as a way to relax and unwind.
