Yan Wang is a Machine Learning Engineer on the Engineering & Performance team at Amii. He holds B.Sc. degrees in Food Science and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba, as well as an M.Sc. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta. Yan began his career in the food industry before the breakthrough of AlphaGo inspired him to pursue machine learning.

His professional interests include machine learning and reinforcement learning, high-performance computing, DevOps/MLOps, and applying AI to solve real-world problems.

Outside of work, Yan enjoys cooking, hiking with friends, experimenting with new technologies, playing video games, and watching anime with his wife.
