Celebrating five years of Upper Bound
Upper Bound started with a simple purpose: to celebrate the brilliant minds who launched Edmonton's AI legacy 20 years ago at the University of Alberta. What began as an intimate, high-energy assembly of 475 people has grown into a premier national AI gathering, welcoming thousands of curious minds from all over the world.
2023
The First Upper Bound
Rebranded as Upper Bound, the event expands to the Edmonton Convention Centre, drawing over 3,000 attendees.
2024
Upper Bound returns
Our first full takeover of the Edmonton Convention Centre; attendance scales to over 5,000.
2025
Upper Bound sells out
The conference sells out for the first time, drawing over 7,200 participants to the convention centre and community events throughout downtown.
2026
Our Biggest Upper Bound – So Far
Upper Bound sells out with an expanded capacity, welcoming over 11,000 participants, shattering expectations and solidifying Upper Bound as a premier national movement.
