Pouria Faridi is a Machine Learning Resident with the Advanced Tech team at Amii. His work includes process control, automation and data analytics using deep learning and reinforcement learning techniques for optimizing water treatment process. Prior to Amii, Pouria worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, developing machine learning-based controllers for rehabilitative and assistive robots at the University of Alberta.
Pouria earned a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (with a focus on controller design and biomechanics) at Shiraz University, and a MSc in Neuroscience (with a focus on robotics and AI) at the University of Alberta. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, watching soccer and playing social deduction games.
