The AI Seminar is a weekly meeting at the University of Alberta where researchers interested in artificial intelligence (AI) can share their research. Presenters include both local speakers from the University of Alberta and visitors from other institutions. Topics can be related in any way to artificial intelligence, from foundational theoretical work to innovative applications of AI techniques to new fields and problems.
On April 1, Greg Coulombe & Horace Chan of Intuit Edmonton presented “Conversational AI at Intuit" at the AI Seminar.
In the presentation, Coulombe and Horace describe how Intuit has invested significantly in their Conversational Experiences platform, giving them the ability to build intelligent conversational agents that can help customers answer their most pressing questions while using their products. The talk focuses on an overview of their conversational platform and three specific AI-enhanced experiences that help customers get a more personalized, relevant experience. They talk about platform architecture and the models used to provide personalized content, automated question answering for long-tail questions, and automated identification of customers based on limited data signals.
