We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Machine Learning (ML) Intern with a strong knowledge of time-series and ML for a full-time, paid 4-month Internship opportunity for one of our clients. We’re looking for a potential candidate who is available to start in September 2021.
This project will explore the detection and prediction of unplanned downtime for production machines using sensor data, leading to measures such as preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime in the future. This is a paid internship that will be undertaken over a four-month period with the potential to be hired afterwards (note: at the discretion of our client). The intern will be reporting to an Amii Lead Scientist and regularly consult with the Client team to share insights and engage in knowledge transfer activities.
We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual with solid knowledge of machine learning and experience working with time-series data.

Google.org announces new research grants to support critical AI research in Canada focused on areas such as sustainability and the responsible development of AI. The grant will provide a total of $2.7 million in grant funding to Amii, the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) and the International Center of Expertise of Montreal on AI (CEIMIA).
