Leading up to Canada’s biggest night in music, we’re celebrating with three free, family-friendly AI events highlighting AI in music, sound and creative industry capabilities! Join us online or RSVP to join us in person at the JUNO Talks:
March 6: Autonomous Adaptive Soundscapes for Reducing Stress in Critically-ill patients
The stress and anxiety common in critically ill patients can compromise recovery and survival and increase the length and costs of hospital stays. Learn how this research team, co-led by Amii Fellow and Canada CIFAR AI Chair Osmar Zaiane, is combining their expertise in music, computer science, and health sciences to induce relaxation, improve sleep, and reduce agitation and anxiety for patients in the ICU.
March 7: Matching the Music to the Mood for Your Role Playing Game
Experienced players know music can take your Role Playing Game (RPG) from “meh” to “HUZZAH!” Meet Bardo - an AI tool that can match mood to music for tabletop roleplaying games. Hear from Amii Fellow Levi H.S. Lelis about how AI can be used to read a room and pick music to fit the mood.
March 11: Bionic Limbs that Enable People to Play & Express Themselves through Music
Learn how Amii researchers are building smart prosthetic devices that empower people with limb differences to live the lives they want to live. This high-energy, kid-friendly talk will show as much as tell you the science behind how science is making music more accessible for people.
"Amii is thrilled to bridge the space between music and technology by sharing ideas, sparking conversations, and celebrating Canadian creativity and ingenuity with the JUNOS.”
